Last night I went to an awesome panel on the legacy of the Black Power and Civil Rights movements with Dr. Bernard Lafayette, who founded SNCC and did a million other things for civil rights activism, and Peniel Joseph, who does not have a Wikipedia page but is basically the pioneer of Black Power studies and one of my favorite historians.
