well, we woke up about fifteen minutes to find our bed was sitting in an inch or so of standing water. half our basement is totally flooded because the hot water heater for the building is spewing water. and it happens to be in the room adjoining our bedroom. so the emergency maintenance guy is downstairs right now, but i don't think there's much

Oh no!! That's awful. Did anything expensive get wet? Do you have renter's insurance? Tim and I have lived through water and fire in our building, among other things, but luckily nothing too important has been damaged.

nothing really got damaged. just really really wet. this is like the tenth time our basement has had flooding, although this was the worst one i think.
