Needless to say, this has been a topic of considerable discussion in the comments on both the original site (where the whole site has been given over to the commenters) and at the new site, where Fred's posts will now appear. It wasn't so much taking toys and going home, it was being told that they were old enough to keep the house themselves. Enh. That's a bad analogy, perhaps.

They did try to start a BBS, but it isn't very active, according to d_84 (aka cjmr's husband).

There's a LJ feed for Slacktivist? (Not that I could read it until after Lent anyway.)

the LJ feed right now is just for the typepad community. I suppose you could fairly easily set up an rss feed for the patheos site too, though.

Ok. It's a two step process (I've just done it, which is how I know). First, go to Fred's site at Patheos (after Lent, perhaps), and left click on the RSS Feed up in the upper right corner of the page - copy the link. Then, go here: http://www.livejournal.com/syn/, scroll down to the bottom, and paste the link into the convenient box and click "Add Feed," and it will be added to your friend's page.
