An update on Tacy: After my last post, I mustered the courage to make an appointment to have her declawed. Then I freaked out. I started wondering if maybe putting her down was more humane than declawing her at this point. It's not like it would solve the original problem that was causing her pain to begin with. Of course she costs quite a bit more than my old vet... (I'm never going to see the massage therapist again, am I? *weeps at budget*) But cheap vet visits aren't much good when you're completely frazzled with worry over your pet...

Oh yes! This one is kind of similar to that, actually, I was thinking of it as I made it. But the spices are somewhat different. If you loved that one you'll probably enjoy this too.

The lemon (or lime) MAKES it, it's true. Before that it's okay, but the acid somehow activates all the flavors.

Hooray for a good vet!

And mmm, curry. I make a lot of curries similar to that but I've never tried it with eggplant. Sounds delicious!

Regarding claws -- have you ever looked into these?: http://www.softpaws.com/
I don't have cats, but I've heard good things about them from some folks.
