I wonder, what if everyone only gave 5 star reviews, to avoid hurting anyone's feelings by admitting we "really liked" or just plain "liked" their book?

Well, that would be bad, but is it an author's place to also be a reviewer? That gets sticky...

How do I tell a sweet juicing carrot from any other?

The carrot salad sounds nummy. I do not have fenugreek, but I know where to get it if I need it - we've got a lovely Indian market near hear that's chockfull of spices, fenugreek included.

And about the stars - you must do what makes sense to you, of course. But three stars still means "good" at GoodReads, last I checked. Still, I understand your point all too well.

Apologies for my belated answer! Usually juicing carrots come in this big bag, and they're really big. I wouldn't have mentioned it except the produce market happen to be selling them individually that week so that's what I had. They are nice if you can get them!

Ah - thanks for the clarification. I'd never seen/heard them called "juicing carrots" before!

That is probably not an official name. That is probably a "former health food store employee" term. heehee.

SALADS!! I <3 salads and will have to try yours. :)

I don't rate books at all. I simply say I liked them or nothing at all. It seems to make life easier that way. I once gave my dad a 4-star review and he was very displeased. Dude, 4-stars in my book is a pretty damn good book.
