--I thought romance was supposed to be relatively easy to write (I do emphasize the 'relatively', though), but this mermaid book, which is probably closer to a romance than anything I've ever done, is kicking my ass. It's not that I actually dislike writing it. I love the characters and have had them in my thoughts more consistently than I did

Yeah, I have seen it around awhile but it seems to have surged in the last month or so. I'm hoping it's death throes.

Yes...I am doing that too, just trying to tell myself that the project has its pace and that's okay. Still, I want "the zone." I need my fix, man...

LOL. I tried to use the word fail in a bit of dialogue yesterday. I kept putting it in and taking it out. Now I know why the word bothered me:)

I think it's because of that queryfail thing not long ago.

As to the slow writing, maybe it will mean less revision later on? I don't think it means that you are any less engaged with the book. The one I'm writing right now took forEVER to get into. But now that I'm nearing the end, I find more is coming to me at a time.

Yes, I've seen quite a bit of 'fail' lately...though I don't get on Twitter much. I don't know if I could take Twilight...since I couldn't finish the book, I don't think I'll bother with the movie. But I hope you enjoy it :) Obviously, most people LOVE it!

Yeah, I don't Twitter at all. But I hear so much about it I almost feel like I do.

Oh, the Twilight movie...it's not going to be a serious viewing, believe me...
