kingdom hearts re:coded: my pain is your pain

So I've been playing Re:coded intermittently over the past month or so and finally beat it tonight. I was pretty much playing it just 'cause, since it only contributes marginally to the whole Kingdom Hearts story, but the gameplay was lots of fun (except for the Unexpected Gameplay Changes that popped up all over the places, reminding me why I don' ( Read more... )

Ah, I have a friend playing through re:coded at the moment and I will admit that I've heard no bad about it; he's really enthusiastic! But command systems and decks and stacking, paired with a completely irrational dislike of the DS, means that I'm going to rely on reviews like yours and his rather than play it myself. 358/2 Days really let me down for the most part, so I'm still a bit stung from that.

I'm curious to hear what you think about Birth by Sleep by the way, for a couple of surprisingly genuine and not at all cynical or leading reasons. The two of the friends I normally play KH alongside quit VERY early on (quitting in a game??) whilst another KH friend and a gaming newbie raced right through it. My own opinion on hold then ^-^

I re-discovered my PC copy of FFVII and I SO want to replay! But I'm seriously considering making a fandom journal before I get back into the fandom boat. Good plan?

Well, I'll certainly be making a BBS post once I finish it so you'll certainly hear all about it :) For the record, my roommate (who's been stuck on the Final Episode for a while, mostly because we've been busy doing other things like watching Lost) really enjoyed it, except she hated the ice cream minigame. She was playing mostly on Proud mode too and said it wasn't too hard, which is good because that's the difficulty level I was planning on doing. (I'm the kind of person who only does harder difficulty if there's something in it for me, lol.)

I'd read your fandom journal, especially if FFVII is involved :) The reason I made this journal is because on my regular journal most of my friends were my real-life friends who were all STOP TALKING ABOUT VIDEO GAMES AND LOST, I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR LIFE D:< So about a year ago, I made this. And now I don't even update my old journal anymore, but that's another story.
