Kimonos, perfume, and things that make me go "SQUEEEE!"

while i was at Darkover, i found out that Sands and Sands (they sell filk CDs and stuff mostly) had come back from the World Con in Japan with Kimonos and Obis....
this is a crisis.
i have NO sales resistance to Kimonos, Saris and other such fabric wonderful clothing.
now i need to lose a size for most of them to close properly, but heck, i need to

i will see if i can get an imp of it...
but the idea that you have to cut them is kind of a good thing, makes them last longer.....
of course pat of that will still be body chemistry.....

BPAL tends to surprise me like that. I ordered Herr Drosselmeyer last year, and gave it away post-haste for a now-MIA bottle of Rose Moon, because it smelled awful on me. I wasn't expecting to like Poisoned Apple and yet, of all the random imps I've recieved (i.e. the ones I didn't personally select), I like that one best. I was huffing my own wrist all day.

body chemistry, isnt it a strange thing?

i am trying to follow the advice i read... make notes about what works/doesnt that i try and then read the reviews.. and see if anyone seems to "get" the same reaction i do. then i can use them as a guide. otherwise (shrug) its hard to tell what something will smell like on you from what someone else thinks. sadly.

this is true even with non essential oil perfumes.
mom adores Chanel No 5, for instance. and it mostly smells like chemicals on me, and gives me a headache.
