Our State Issue 1 -- the mandatory distance between strippers and patrons -- proposition was cancelled due to too few valid signatures on the petitions. Gee, I'm so shocked -- people in strip clubs might not give their actual real legal voter-type names on a ballot petition!! SHOCK!! HORROR!! Someone call the press!!!

Same here. On the other hand, our primaries are coming up in February, & they're often the only local elections that mean something in a seriously one-party county (PG County apparently ranks with Chicago in terms of how solid a hold the Democrats have on the area), so I try to show up. I'm even tempted to sign up as an election judge.

I voted. I think this is the first time I did write-ins for three separate races. That is a measure of just how much the major candidates pissed me off (and how *many* of them did).
