Re No, 9: I used to have a room with a floor-to-ceiling cork wall that blocked off a door; it was covered with ATC's. I have an ATC of my own but never got around to sending it to VistaPrint®. I pick and choose at convention Art Shows, far more cost-effective than buying the art I like, and a way to goad my Art Persona to get off her ass and create.
you got prayers from me... i pray for you and your family every day. I wish i knew how to give you courage. If you ever need anyone to talk to while sitting in the waiting room you have my cell phone. I will talk to you and help keep your courage up the best I can. if you were closer I'd go with you.
5 I will do and with pleasure. Will happily light a candle and offer up some prayers for you.
8. I know it might not really count, she's not from a shelter, it's more a DIY rescue, but it's a happy ending rescue story, so I thought you'd like. Husband rescued a tiny kitten back at the beginning of October, I posted about it on my LJ at the time, because of the way he'd had to rescue her - I was furious. An 8-9 week old kitten dumped in traffic. We kept her. We couldn't really afford another, but at the same time, we couldn't part with her. She's fitting in well with our other 3 rescue cats. She was so frightened when he found her, and for a week afterwards. Now she's not. She's growing into a real beauty, and is inquisitive, clever, plus she has the loudest purr imaginable!
Awww! I can't believe how people can do that, it makes my blood boil everytime I hear about things like that. Dante, our first was 10 months old when we got him, had lived feral for a couple of months and we took him in from a vet's. The others came from a rescue place (it's not a shelter, they really give their cats homes) we support, SHUA - they never have any cats put to sleep, and they do a fabulous job.
And now I have a silly idea. Kitty cuddle exchange! I'll give my little Marta a fuss for you, and ask you to give Groucho a fuss/cuddle from me if they're up for it!
