this particular yarn is "Tofutsies" by www.soysilk.com, which is wool/cotton/soysilk and a small amount of a fiber made out of chiten. they try not to use petrochemicals, so the chiton is instead of nylon for sock yarn.. i know it sounds weird, but the stuff is lovely!

yes i go to ICON

1. soysilk 100% soy yarn makes decent socks, although i find it a bit thick.
2. there is bamboo yarn in about the right weight.. its nice.
3. i can GET you 100% cotton yarn in fingering (baby yarn) weight for socks.

you need to remind me to bring the book of yarn samples to an event you will be at.... and we can go over the available yarns

does one ball make one sock or a pair?

and yes, I'm interested in one ball (or pair of socks) every other month...

one ball makes one pair, for an average ladies foot and an average length of sock. they have tons of free sock patterns...oh
i forgot to mention.. there will be a free sock pattern, a new one, with every new color.....

this sock yarn has wool in it. it is the "Tofutsie" sock yarn from www.soysilk.com

i ALSO have sock yarn that is all wool, except for a touch of nylon.. from a different company
and a lace weight 100% merino, that some folks use to make socks.... from yet another company.

About how much would it be?

I'm not supposed to buy any more yarn right now, lest the hubby kill me... but I'm interested in finding out... :)

but its a limited edition... >grin<
well, its supposed retail is 16ish
(meaning depending on normal markups anywhere from 16-18 dollars a ball would be normal)
so based on a 25 % off for "advance orders": 12.00 plus shipping.

this would be aproximately every other month.( 6 new colors per year. at least this year)
