As it happens, I do need to order some Fiesta yarn - I also need some MistiAlpaca yarns, but I guess that can wait. In Fiesta Yarns, I need 4 skeins of Watermark Safari (15125 - if I'm reading my chicken scratch properly). Maybe I should have you send it to my office, just in case, so if you want to give me a call, you have my cell # (or you can e-mail me).

OK - I need 5 skeins ea. of MistiAlpaca Chunky Natural Brown (410) and Copper Melange (M707 - I think that is the correct color). If they come in 4-packs rather than 5, then I will take 4 of each.

the Misti Alpaca come in bags of ten, like a lot of yarn comanies.. i am simply of the opinion that this is a LOT of yarn, so i am letting folks order half bags.. (5)
let me double check the price on the chunky, i hink it went up a few pennies...

I'd love to order some to make chemo caps with, but I don't really need four skeins of each color....how much do the Fiesta yarns go for? I'm looking at the Watermark, La Luz Multi, and Tenero collections.....

well, simple... how many skeins do you need? of each i mean.. one? 2?
if it is a color i know i can sell, then i would be willing to take a less than whole bag order...... also, if you name the colors. maybe someone else would like to "split" a bag with you.....
watermark is $9.50 per skein
la luz is 14, la luz multi is, i think... 14.50? let me check
i dont recall tenero right off....

misti alpaca is also a nice thing for chemo caps, since alpaca is so soft.
of course so is cashmere, but oddly. more people are allergic to cashmere (goat) than alpaca (camel)

I try to stay away from the wool, even the alpaca, because many people are sensitive to wool to begin with, and the chemo tends to make it even worse. There's very little wool I can tolerate without ripping it off five minutes after I put it on. A friend sent me a gorgeous shawl and scarf from Ireland that is lambswool, and so far it's the only wool I've been able to wear.
I wrote down the colors I liked...let me sort through them and narrow down the list a little. I'd probably only need one of each color. Wayne would kill me if I spent a small fortune on yarn, even if it's nice stuff. :)

oh?
most of my wool allergic folks can tolerate alpaca, since its not in the same family.. but you know your target audience better than i do!
stay away from watermark then.. its half wool, and half mohair. *I* love it, but 100% merino wool, would be less itchy to some folks.

my suggestion would be silk, and if you want to do any "wool" try alpaca, because it is not a sheep/goat. after that? the 100% wool, especially merino lambswool (sheep) or cashmere (goat)

some folks really dont cope with mohair (goat) even though it is lovely and warm.... i dunno why.

the lace and worsted weight misti alpaca line wholesales at about $5 per skein.....the chunky is more, of course.

it is too cold to go get into the van and get the price sheet right this instant.. but i am fairly certain its ten bucks a skein....
lots of yardage in the skein, though.
