I have a Prius, and I absolutely adore it. Mine is a 2008 model, so probably doesn't get the mileage of the new ones.

Hint: Replace the tires over the winter months. The high mileage tires that come with the Prius are effin *dangerous* in snow. I'm a *good* snow driver and the first winter I had the Prius I slid all over the countryside even on roads that shouldn't have been all that slippery. The second winter I got good traction tires and was safe to drive to Iowa (past Chicago) over inauguration day weekend. You will lose about 10mpg when you have the high traction tires on the car, but it is better than losing your life.

i will so inform wayne. we obviously live in ice and snow ville (phila) and drive in the northeast corrider, so stuff gets nasty..
they get more snow up north, but we get ice.
