There is some anecdotal evidence that venoms have a temporary positive effect on joint pain, but I don't think you want to deal with the side effects.

What a crazy day. I'm glad you made it through in one piece.

Yes. I've read of people who have found that honey bee stings help with MS and arthritis.

do honey bee stongs hurt a LOT less than yellow jacket stings?

cause this hurts too much to really tempt me....but if it hurt less than this it might

The feeling varies according to each person.

I find that honeybees sting like horrible fire for about 5 minutes. Haven't had a wasp/hornet sting for years.

I believe there are different techniques for limiting the amount of venom.

i knew about long term (ie, bee sting exposure minimizes arthritis) but... not an IMMEDIATE benefit.

also i only knew about bees, i am pretty sure this was a wasp, since it didnt leave a stinger in me.

anyway, i would rather try some OTHER method of treatment. maybe honey bee stings hurt less????

"is it possible that some combo of "sting+bendryl+pain meds" actually helped my knee? it seemed to work a lot better....."

I don't konw what's wrong with your knee, but bee stings may help reduce arthritis. Check out http://www.google.com/search?q=bee+sting+arthritis&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Oh good grief. How awful. And I know what you mean about crappy stuff overshadowing a perfectly good event. Complain away. Since I wasn't there, I feel no need to take it personally and will just nod and sympathize.

No fun! We went to the Viking Fest in Vista yesterday and saw lots of nice garb. I think we've started to be Tempted towards SCA but down that road lies madness. ;)

the SCA is fun, and as long as you dont get into merchanting its not that crazy.

merchanting, however, IS in fact a sure path to repeated sanity checks
