Also - how did you get the new water dragons? I've been trying to get my limestones to breed to make them, but nada, nothin', zip...
And the newer eggs are hard to get, yes. Still trying to get the "radiant" one, but not going to hold out much hope on that until the hype for new eggs dies down in a couple of weeks. Did you also notice the graphics changes to male and female to various species?
The new water dragons aren't bred from the limestones... they are a skywing/deep water cross. And yes- I was trying ALL weekend to get even just one of the new eggs, and all I was able to catch- AT all, was all 38 of the Festival eggs. (WOW! there are some GORGEOUS designs there!) Which really only says that I spent WAAAYYY Too much time in front of the computer.
Every 15 minutes, the site is reloading a new egg on it, either on the main page or on the abandoned area page. I've been hitting refresh and picking up the balance of the eggs that I don't already have (the Festival continues today, so if you missed any, just hover on the main page and hit refresh once in a while).
Thank you for the tip on the skywing/deep water. I hadn't thought to try the deep water dragon for that mix, I'd figured it was limestone and regular water dragon. :)
I'll give that a go later on today, when I can breathe again... almost 2pm, haven't had lunch yet!
A new computer that you use for your business is a write off on your taxes. Should have spent that thousand on the laptop. Just sayin'. I have a Panther pavillion that my business paid for...
uh..... i cant sell the laptop for 3 thousand, i can sell the pearls for 3-5 thousand, depending on whether i sell them "as is" or make stuff.
my JOB is selling beads...... i can work on my old computer, or borrow school computers,or do any number of other things, IF I HAVE TO.. i cant sell merchandise i dont have.
sorry, but the pearls are a major best seller......
Do you mean Word 97 or Word 2007? There's a massive difference in the file formats.
However, if you have MS-Word 2003, it handles Word 97 files natively, and then you can download from Microsoft the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack, which will allow you to use Office 2007 files (you can tell they're Office 2007 files because of the "x" at the end, e.g., Filename.docx).
Oh. Oh, my. Yes, in that case, a new machine seems called for. I recommend Windows 7 (or XP, if you feel Luddite). While I dislike Office 2007, because Microsoft made significant changes in the user interface (and I'm expert in the up-to-2003 version; it's how I make my living), it's not entirely terrible for people not really fluent in the old style.
I recommend shopping for a new computer at deal aggregator sites like Hot Deals Club, Ben's Bargains, and Cheap Stingy Bargains. They pull deals from multiple sources, and once you know what you minimum machine and maximum price are, they're great for matching you with what you want, affordably.
just so you know i added you, that way i dont have to "unscreen" your comments. i post flocked stuff once in a blue moon, mostly rants and vents.....
hubby is the computer expert.... he makes his living as a sys admin, but not on "office" however he has never been good at translating to non geek. never i have a saga about how i was trying to use the computer and he and another techie type were there... it took my WAY too long to get a simple answer out of them.
Now is when I really wish you were on the same coast as I was. One of the things we in my household is fix people up with computers. Not the latest gaming computers, but solid workhorses

Umm, I have a 'quest'. You buy/sell scissors.... Long Ago(30 years) I bought 'Clover" brand sewing-gear, in our local Japan-town. I bought a couple of 'thread-clippers' for SCA embroidery.---*Wonderful* things; *One piece*, (Like old-style sheep-shears) hollow ground, it was love. Well, I have somehow Lost mine. (I suspect they were 'borrowed') I Went on line looking for replacements, and found that the current version is no longer one piece, the blades are attached with tiny screws. They no doubt work as well, but I want the Old Style.
If somehow You can find a pair,I would be happy to buy them from you. Please? Just keep the eyes out. Used is Fine, if not too battered. I know they don't make them like that any more. Thank you, and, Good Hunting! eldri

Thank you! --I knew you were the right person to ask! (I hope you have some, getting them from someone I Kinda-online-know, seems better to me than from a stranger) I haven't been to an SCA event in over twenty years--*never* been to a Pennsic War... did not even know there was such a thing as a merchants directory--though I should have guessed.
so, yes, names, Addresses are very useful here.. I will go and look up your friend Guen...
Oh gosh, getting distracted here, new communities to look at---sending now --Thanks again! eldri (lady esther-that-was...)
