LJ user neadods has an indoor only idiot cat who somehow got out. (sounds like my idiot cat) the most likely thing is that he is nearby

This has been posted (by someone else) on the Greenbelters Yahoo group, which has 816 members and gets a fair amount of traffic. I hope somebody finds the kitty.

several of us are trying to boost the signal....
as you might expect, kitty mom is sort of frantic....

i am glad it got a good re post.

in all honesty the cat is likely either hiding nearby, or has been taken in by a neighbor..
so part of the job is making sure all the people who could have taken in a cat know its lost, not abandoned....

Wow, this is the second person on my flist that has psoted about this poor kitty. LJ really is a small place! ;)

My cat is chipped. Finding the chip is an interesting experience though, as it had migrated, and one vet said they had the chip migrate and work its way out of the cats leg. They found it, cleaned it off and reinserted it!

Hope her cat comes home soon. They are a bit silly!

Someone suggested this to us when one of our idiots first went AWOL, and it has worked both times... Hang a shirt you've been wearing on the outside doorknob. Apparently the cats recognise your scent and find their way home that way.
