Sorry to hear that about Lunacon (I'm thinking of going there myself after having missed it the last two years). Don't they have a "dealers' row" of rooms for vendors who don't fit into THE dealers' room? Or don't they do that anymore?

There's only one Atlantian event that weekend and it's down by Williamsburg. You may have to look elsewhere.

I suspect that there aren't more Atlantian events that weekend because Gulf Wars is slowly gaining popularity in Atlantia, particularly among the southern fighters.

I have one person on my f-list who is going to Gulf Wars. Her husband is a combat archer.

I would LOVE to go to Gulf Wars someday ... but I'm not so thrilled about lugging my camping crap 1,000 miles one way.

Yay for Bellydance!!! (Yes, your muscles will hate you for a while, but you knew that already, right? >:D )

Boo for the cold and the hurtiness...
Best of luck on the finding an alternate fair/convention/event! :)

oh yeah, i love bellydance. habibastudio (it may be plural) in philadelphia... she's great.
i have known her for years and years...

oh yeah... cold is bad enough, but ... well the best treatment for reynauds is B vitamins. which get eaten up by stress.. so put me under stress and my reynaudsa is more likely to flare up..

and cold+wet is the worst combo

thanks

Isn't Gulf Wars that weekend? According to my callendar it is March 15-22.

As for your cold hands, you need these:

http://www.electricblanket.net/p-63-air-activated-heated-gloves-half-fingers.aspx

I haven't used them, but then my extremities are always too hot. Because of this I can't make flakey pie crust, because my hands melt the butter, which is supposed to be layered and not melted. Also, my feet are so hot, that I have walked barefoot in snow and left puddles instead of foot prints.

will consider those!

gulf wars is a bit far away, and you need to sign up as a merchant waaaaaaaaaaay in advance for that.

wow.....wow... i envy you.....i would gladly trade.

thats really.... huh....

for piecrusts, may i suggest you dont touch t he crust much with your hands and use a marble rolling pin that you have chilled first.

At the risk of being drafted as a teacher (again, thank you), there's Nova Schola (nearby) or Northern Lights.

Not likely to go to either one, though Nova Schola is more likely
