Ugh, I know this kind of feeling. It sucks.
(I'm especially familiar with the feeling that my brain is going to waste... I've been putting extra effort into learning things so that my brain cells won't shrivel up and die or something)

I feel ya. The job market isn't great now which doesn't help.

Also, try looking at other peoples art. Try to find some new artists through artists that you already like. This usually helps me out. Something that helps rejuvenate your spirit.
