lol. Of course (if you're a knitter) I knit in church every week. *nods as if this justifies the previous statement*
Repetitive activities, including most craftwork can induce a sort of meditative trance. My mind doesn't shut down for meditation unless I either just woke up or I am doing something with my hands.
Organizing books works for me too. I used to unpack boxes/sort onto carts...

It was kind of fun to watch Inara in shock. I think she was going to rip him a new one for pushing River around like that. Then he started in on why. lol.

I liked how River thought she was no good at the seduction business - but Jayne thought she was too good :)

I also enjoyed the fact that while Jayne was quite comfortable with the thought of a boy whore (no emotional linking), he wasn't too happy about an ordinary teenage boy!

I'm enjoying your series very much and hope to read more soon.

Somehow this story has grown to be all about contrasts. Shifts in perspective.

The gruel is 'good stuff' then it is so bad he can barely swallow it.

Boy-whore verses boy, etc.

This was great! River’s mating dance and Jayne dragging River to Inara, telling on her like a child. And River’s reactions during the whole ordeal were hysterical!
