Oh, Mary McDonnell is so fabulous. Love her in Donnie Darko and Passionfish as well.

I LOVE High Art. So sad. Funnily enough, apetslife posted Vin Diesel in the Riddick movies, and the reason I HATE Vin Diesel is b/c I loved Radha Mitchell from High Art and so Pitch Black made me bitter.

I just thought of one I can't believe I forgot. Lucy Lawless as Xena! And no I'm not even kidding. She was so committed to the role and so believable as this warrior goddess woman. Loved her!

Great list. I just saw Joan as Sadie this year and it was a great performance, and really an interesting story too. My favorite Joan performance, though, is A Woman's Face. Much more subtle than you'd expect from her.

A Woman's Face is great. I just love her and find it sad that she's been reduced to the Mommie Dearest clown caricature. I know that was my perception until I finally saw some of her films. Great actor.
