Just a quick note to share the good news: Ward Connerly's iniative to put an anti-affirmative action referendum on the ballot in Missouri FAILED last week. Thanks to work by several Missouri grass-roots organizations (ACORN, WeCAN, and Missouri Jobs for Justice) getting active against the initiative.

There's bound to be a "felafel" moment somewhere in his past. It's just a question of finding it. People like him are very screwed-up individuals and it's going to rise to the surface one day.

On the other hand, he causes so much damage that he needs to be stopped NOW. I do think the tide has turned in that he can't sneak into town and pull a fast one like he did in California. The trick is to pile up small victories like this one in Missouri: let's call it the Obama strategy.
