I'm of a mind to start posting again. I have a new laptop, and the stirrings of a desire to write longer form than FB or Twitter allow.

I know that this place has been pretty empty since The Great Migration to the Other Place, but I'm still too stubborn to move and, crucially enough, this platform is still here.

I also skipped the Great Migration. I have an account over there so I can comment on cross-posted friends' posts, but I'm not intentionally spending time over there.

I'm trying to make time to write my own posts, but in the meantime, I hope more people are finding the Instagram cross-posting to be entertaining than irritating.

I must have missed it - I occasionally miss the couple of dozen I had in the auld days, but still seem to get by with these.

Sorry to hear about the RSI - a writing friend has it pretty bad, and he's had to lean pretty heavily on voice recognition from time to time (the good news being that the technology is getting better, and also that cutting down from 6-10k to 2k words a day is helping him).

Totally agree that if you have only time to contribute to one platform, you'll stay with DW - good luck and good writing.
