What You Don't Know About Women (12.3 MB DivX)
Characters: Buffy, Darla, Angel
Lyrics
What You Don't Know About Women - City of Angels
GABBY (Buffy): What you don't know about women
OOLIE (Darla): (What you don't know about women)
BOTH: Could fill a shelf of books
GABBY: You are the type of man who looks
For understanding lovers
OOLIE: But never understands the girl
Who lies beneath the covers
BOTH: A woman needs to be assured
That she remains alluring
To now and then be reassured
Your passion is enduring
GABBY: It's not enough to know your line
To polish and routine it
OOLIE: (And heaven knows I know your line
The whole routine, I've seen it)
BOTH: Ya gotta mean it
GABBY: You're immature and shortsighted
OOLIE: You're an incurable player
GABBY: You show a lack of discretion
OOLIE: You don't know jack about heartache
GABBY: You're out of sync with your feelings
OOLIE: You only wink at commitment
GABBY: You're running low on emotion
BOTH: What you don't know about women's
Only a drop in the ocean
Next to what you don't know about me
You don't know nothin' about me
Some behind-the-scenes
The idea intimidated me at first. I didn't have experience vidding musicals, and I wasn't sure I could do it. But I liked the topic, and was soon excited to try. I had fun, with only the usual anxieties of "OMG this was much better in my head!"-ness.
The song was hard to cut, mostly because the transitions varied a lot, and I wanted to keep so much! Hee - for someone who was nervous, I definitely used a lot of the song. My longest vidlet so far.
I think the hardest part was clip selection, which involved everything from story to mood and visual coherence. So I didn't have time to play around with new techniques. But I feel like I've just run many miles!
I had a few hours left in the day, but hee - I decided to spend the time making the credits! And *then* I encountered a whole bunch of exporting issues that had to do with the source. Blah. But here it is! Oh, and once again it stutters in VLC, but this time it's the *second* clip. I just don't know why. It's fine in WMP.
