I just called my insurance company and found out my car is a total loss *sigh*  I should be getting a phone call in the next couple of days with the details (like how much money I'm getting ,etc.).

Guess it's time to go car shopping- but deffinitely no fucking BMW's ever again.

Sorry about the loss of the car, but this may be the best possible outcome in this situation. Hopefully your transportation woes will soon be over. What kind of car do you think you might wish to get next?

Yeah, it's a giant PITA but in the end probably worth it. As for replacing the BMW I'm thinking a honda or mazda. So either Civic or Protege / 3, built after 2000 (I'm not buying new...) Just depends on what I can afford... we'll find out in a couple of days I guess :P

I am an old high school friend of rosaferreum's. I saw you gave him some help and I thank you. I saw you yourself has some car issues a while back. I have recently been plugging a viable electric car that is going to come onto the market soon. If you are interested, you can see it at http://www.zapworld.com/ZAPWorld.aspx?id=4560. They claim it can go up to 350 miles on a single 10 minute charge and can drive as fast as 150 mph. I say that rivals most gas powered cars. Plus, no more stops at the gas station!
