Tutorial - How To Credit Icons

Dec 18, 2005 12:31

LiveJournal Users - When using my icons as your user pics, I ask for one of either of these options of crediting:

Option 1 - Userpic Keywords: Listing a description with (eyesthatslay) added in.

Option 2 - Userpic Comments: Listing (eyesthatslay). In this option, you can also use lj user tags to create a link to my journal if you wish. Example: < ( Read more... )

Please, if you ever see me using an icon of yours and didn't give you the credit, let me apologize in advance. The only way I would not give someone credit is because I didn't know who originally made the icon, and got it from another user, or somehow I messed up when I uploaded it. So, please let me know if you see one of yours that I didn't credit you for, and I will quickly fix the problem.

You know I would never do that intentionally. *hugs*

Thanks! It's my first tutorial ever, so that means a lot! :)

Aww, thanks so much for mentioning me in your LJ, and letting me know of the positive reactions you got on my icons. I appreciate that so much!

Oh, keyword credit is fine too! Just as long as my name shows up with the name of the icon on your user pic page. :)

Thanks!

I am so sorry, most of the people I was getting icons from only asked that their name be in the 'key words' they hadn't given such specific instructions on the 'comment' thing. I hope I've fixed this now. I can assure you that I was NOT trying to take credit for your work.

No apology necessary. I ask for credit in either keywords or comments. So either one is good with me. :) That is why I gave examples of both in my tutorial. I know you were not trying to take credit for my work.

Unfortunately, I've seen people that have no credit at all with their user pics, not just my icons, but others as well. Those are the ones that I had hoped to help with the tutorial post.

LOL I guess I was feeling paranoid (I have a cold, somehow those go together), but I see I'm not the only one...

I feel badly you thought I this was directed at you in anyway. I'm so sorry. I'm re-wording my tutorial to clarify that keyword credit is perfectly acceptable. I didn't realize that it came across as otherwise. :)

I'm sorry you have a cold, I hope you feel better soon. :)
