i'm pretty sure this is allowed here, and if it isn't tell me ASAP and i'll delete it just incase it somehow slipped through. :)

i'm wondering, what are your favorite drugstore(or cheaply priced but not cheaply made/cheap looking) brands or products of makeup?

baaasically, i really need to get more makeup but i don't know ( Read more... )

recommendations, drugstore brands, mascara, contouring/blush/highlight, bronzer, brushes

If you have a Sally's nearbye, their eyeshadows are awesome & only $1 a piece. HIP, Wet & Wild (bronzer-awesome for pale girls like us!) Maybelline makes good foundations & concealers & blushes, so does Covergirl.

do you know of any good cheap brushes?
i've seen Elf ones that are pretty cheap, but i don't know if they're decent or not.

Loreal's Telescopic is my favorite mascara to date, even more so than the expensive stuff. As for brushes, I got a lot of mine from Target. NYC makes one of my favorite blushes (it's a honeycomb wheel of pinks) The HIP line is supposed to be very good too, though I haven't tried any of it.

i've heard about telescopic but i hadn't seen it on anyone, just on ads... which are obviously fake 99% of the time. haha. i'll have to check all of that out!

It really does lengthen like crazy, but it doesn't thicken much. Definitely worth the $7-9 in my opinion. You can also use it in conjunction with a thickening mascara. Some people have said good things about the new Cover Girl ones (I can't use CG eye stuff, though, so I don't know for sure)

Put me in this pile!

Even if you're allergic to EVERYTHING, you can use this stuff.

i only ever use drug store masquera and i love cover girl exact lash? (its in the red tube) and telescopic (can't wait to try out the new telescopic carbon black!)

for cheaper drugstore brushes if you can find them are posh brushes (i've seen them at wegmans and kmart) they are surprisingly excellent brushes for the price!!!

milani has pretty decent eyeshadow for drug store brand, and the new loreal hip duos are pretty good too with great color pay-off (loreal hip duo in "showy" is a dupe for the coveted parrot that everyone has been raving about)

and for packed compact foundation (like the mac sheer cover) and bronzers physician formula is what i used to use and what i liked best.
