the thing that i do wen it comes to doin black is to do it a lil at a time.
for the crease have u tried lookin down to find yur crease?
and if u really want it dramatic i would say bring it a lil bit past the crease.

I put two layers of black on, otherwise it looks purple.

Oooooh, I actually really like this. Maybe it's a little more subtle than you wanted, but I think it looks very pretty.
