seems to be doing well after her premature seperation from her mother Believe me, the first days her squealing was heartbreaking. I really was afraid that she would be disordered after the seperation PLUS being shut into a room all by herself from time to time. We couldn't be around ALL of the time, and we had Toby to think of. It was hard work to make Susie feel safe and Toby not get jealous.
Some time ago I posted a pic of the house - it's a stud work house (half timbered house, sp?), built of clay and wood. It's funny, but only since I live in such a house I noticed that this way of construction is typical for Northern Europe.
Ah, btw, do you like soccer? Do you watch the world cup? Oh my... What's up with the teams, our famous teams?
I only watch the world cup and occasionally the Euro competition. What's wrong with our teams? Too much money, too complacent, not enough fire in the belly IMO.
*happy smile* I thought you would like the pics! Isn't she lovely?
Oh my. I've never had a kitten as young as this. 4 weeks, for crying out loud! I'm sure I couldn't have managed without experience with cats. And, I will not forget that her mother is a wild one... *gulps* It's so fascinating... I never knew that the colour of a kitten's eyes changes that late - being seven weeks old, Susie still has blue eyes, slowly changing to green. AWWWWWWWWWWw
OMG! She's adorable!! I also love the pictures of Susie and Toby together. I just wrote an H/D story with cats (kneazles) and dogs and there's a scene where they are snuggled like this! Well, I'm glad it's been something pleasant that's kept you away. It is wonderful to see a post from you! *squishes you*
Where's this story? I'm curious about it! Did you already finish it? Now that I can observe the difficult start of a partnership of such opposite characters (*g*) I was amused to see that the cat, being awake and active, tries to charge the dog any possible time. But when sleepy and lazy, she snuggles with the dog, though he obviously is irritated and draws away. *g*
If you go to my journal, it's the most recent entry. It's called "Like Cats and Dogs" and I wrote it as a birthday fic for enchanted_jae. It's mainly Harry and Draco, but they are choosing a pet for Teddy. Harry has a golden retriever and wants Teddy to have a dog. Teddy wants a kneazle, however. That's the summary. It's about 3000 words. I just thought it was such a coincedence that I posted the story and then you posted the sweet pictures! It is so nice to "see" and "talk" to you!
Hrm, yep. I'm absolutely happy with the newest addition to the family, but if I go on like this, the house soon won't be big enough for all the creatures no one else wants. You know, in the neighborhood there's a sheep which is already marked (shudders), and there are two tiny horses nobody cares about, and... *screams*
