[...okay, this just isn't fair. First the Professor who wasn't the Professor, and now Scott who sounded exactly like the Scott Bobby had known. Except for the part where Scott was dead. And this -

This sounded like the Scott from a long time ago. From before - everything. It couldn't be, though. It had to be another alternate version.

I - this is Bobby Drake.

[He's not sure if he's hoping Scott will recognize his name or not. Even if he does, even if, by some miracle this is the Scott from Bobby's world, it won't be the same.]

We don't really know the answers to any of those questions yet. Deior and his staff don't seem to be all that eager to answer anything, actually.

[This sounds like another "I've been here forever" case.]

Yeah. About a month and a half, I think. But time works weird here. I don't know how he's doing it, he must be more powerful than-

[And there's a brief hesitation there, because he still isn't sure if this is the Scott Summers he knew or not.]

[Because Logan sucks and Bobby is one of the bigger kids who can be trusted to be helpful. It certainly sounds like Scott recognizes Bobby, but there's plenty of time for them to get their timelines sorted out.]

[Bobby's trying really hard not to get his hopes up here, but with Scott apparently recognizing him, it's getting kind of hard.]

Not a lot, unfortunately. I haven't been able to figure a way out yet, and none of the staff are all that helpful with answering any questions about this place. But people've been here longer than me, and more keep arriving, which really doesn't help make the whole 'universes destroyed' thing all that credible.

Things're also pretty weird here. Some stuff's even weirder than anything back home.

Maybe, but like you said, it doesn't look like time works the same way here. Logan said he's been here two weeks, but I talked to him just a little while ago, at the mansion.

I'd be willing to bet everything that's happened today is weirder than anything I've seen back home.

[Yeah, Bobby's just giving in to hope, now.]

Logan's here? Wait, he's been here for two weeks?

[He pauses for a second to do the math, and - oh. That would've been right around the time Bobby'd either been dead, or amnesiac. Right.

Scott's last comment gets a smile, though.]

Just wait, it gets weirder. At least you missed the zombies.

[He'll let Bobby elaborate before becoming a concerned authority figure.]

[...oh, there is a whole lot of 'ouch' wrapped up in that one question. Both in the mention of Marie, and in becoming forcibly reminded of how much Scott doesn't know. How much he can't know, if this is really him from before.]

I, um. That's - complicated. And probably better explained in person.

[Not in the least because Bobby's very aware of how public these entries are.]

But yeah, zombies. One of the women here is a carrier of some virus, and people who get it end up either dying or going crazy and pretty much turning into zombies. Some of the people here accidentally got infected. But the situation was taken care of.

[Scott heads in the general direction of his room, 2083. Is Bobby in the area?]

[He is! He'd been in the kitchen, which is right by there. He heads out into the hallway now, looking around.

Bobby's...somewhat older than Scott probably remembers him. He's also wearing his X-man uniform.]

[How convenient! Scott is wearing his visor and... a sweater and cardigan. Who'd have thought the leader of the X-Men would be a dorky dresser? He notices the uniform right away. Are students even supposed to know about the X-Men...?]

Don't tell me they're just handing those uniforms out here?

[Bobby's just - ridiculously happy to see him, dorky dresser and all. Scott's exactly the way he remembers, before everything went to hell, and Bobby can't help but smile.]

Nah. I ordered mine special.

[Right. He's supposed to be doing that awkward explaining thing.]

So. You know how time works weird here? I think it works even weirder than I thought. If we're from the same world, I think I'm, um. From a time a bit ahead of you.

[After getting a better look at Bobby, Scott really can't argue the time difference. Bobby is definitely older than Scott remembers him being, even with the month and a half of being here.]

If I had to guess, I'd say "a bit" is an understatement.

[Scott isn't sure what to say. He's doesn't know if he wants to confirm how much time there is between their respective realities, or what happens in that amount of time.]
