Cortisol is usually the culprit for the belly fat staying and everything else dropping off. It's activated during stress, so stay calm! Things aren't so bad, you'll lose the weight. Just stay positive and focus on the great progress you have already made and how much better things will be for you once it's all gone!
Although cortisol is an important hormone, too much of it causes weight gain in the wrong places. Some things you can take to help:
* more protein * more omega 3's * less wheat * more foods with a low GL index
Some natural supplements that will help (from my own personal use): * green tea * spirulina pills * l-carnitine (helps metabolize fat if you work out)
