A couple months ago I rediscovered the joys of eBay. And among my purchases were numerous cross-stitch patterns.

I bought this Pirate pattern, and stitched it on a cream-colored evenweave. The land masses were a pain (time-consuming and tedious) and I found a few color errors/discrepancies in the pattern itself. But the finished product looks good ( Read more... )

Actually, I'm looking for "gryphons." Unfortunately, people often spell it differently, which makes searches more difficult. "Griffins" I can handle, but "griffons" is just an aberration.

Alternative spelling is one of the many problems with words which are moved from language to language, often with different alphabets. The above is the Old Irish version of my surname.

I found measi via one of the Friday Five lj communities. Since she seemed cool and we had some common interests, I friended her.

And, coincidentally, we attended B.U. at around the same time period.

I've seen the Springberry Creek designs before but forgot who designed them, I'm going to have to check them out.

Over-roller here. Under is annoying.
