Waiting For Godot

I am staring up at the mini-TV-dish of the townhouse condo right next to mine.

I have come to the conclusion recently that living in suburban Northeast Ohio is to me what Waiting For Godot was for Beckett. I think that the part of my journey, which did lead me to this bucolic setting, has ended. But, now that I am here, and I have someone ( Read more... )

Your frustration makes sense to me. Especially with your stepson finishing high school -- it's time for you and K to be priorities now, but unfortunately she doesn't want to wander the world ( ... )

Perhaps the hardest thing for you to do is to figure out what direction you want your energy to go in.

Yeah. This is entirely the essense of my problem: finding a really good focus for me-self.

Look for the topics and activities that connect with a piece of who you are or who you want to become. What excites you? What (besides sex) ignites your passion?

This is exactly what I have been trying to figure out. I am looking for the good stuff that will give me a great focus and help me with this part of my journey (how cliche was that).

What about taking classes at a community college? Learn a language, then plan an awesome trip with K. to a country where that language is spoken.

An idea that I have been pondering myself. KB recommended a cooking class. I have also thought about that (always had a desire to try that).

Have you thought about starting a literary criticism blog? Like, a real blog about topics and stuff, on Blogger.com or Typepad.com? I've been amazed at what the blogosphere holds. There are intelligent people out ( ... )
