part II: what should i read? :)

okay, so i'm nearing the end of Octavia Butler's xenogenesis trilogy (i hate getting to the end of a good series of books) and i need something to read next

Wow. I can't wait to read her now. Where do I begin???

i've actually only read 4 of her books so far. i originally picked up something by butler because donna haraway referenced her in "Cyborg Manifesto". i've read wild seed and the xenogenesis series, both of which i enjoyed thoroughly. however, i hear that Kindred and Parable of the Sower series are fantastic, I'd like to start on one of those next. I have a feeling that just about anything by her will be a good read judging by the quality of the 4 books I've already read. Happy reading! :)

One of my current favourite authors is Jeanette Winterson. She has the most beautiful style of writing, well I can't say enough to commend and prmote her. Let her books do it for themselves.

you're not the first one to reccommend her work. i'll have to see if the local library has a copy of any of her novels, danke mucho for the suggestion :)
