Clearly French sf flies below the radar. Possibly because of all the boobies.

Apparently the frog eating was intended to parody French stereotyping, sort of thing. Like the huge noses.

Yes, clearly, and the mad dynamiting bit is funny, I just find the eating whole frogs thing a bit gut-wrenching.

Actually, one of the strengths of the film is its ability to take the affectionate mickey out of French stereotyping.
