I am hugely looking forward to the new kitchen, not just because the chaos is extreme and I'm getting twitchy from not being able to cook, but because the new one is going to be extremely cool!

I am sorry to make you homesick for CT. You'll simply have to come and visit us soon. (You do know that you don't have to wait for an invitation, don't you? You just need to choose a time when my mother's not occupying the guest room, and tell us you're coming.)

Hey! Rude man! I'll have you know that, back in the halcyon days of the dishwasher, I used to take them all down every couple of months and run them through the cycle. Given the defunct state of the dishwasher, the answer to your question is "about eight months." They still move fine, although they tend to stick to your fingers.
