21 - Self-rec: What's your favorite fanwork you've created?

Truth - I always get really self-conscious about my fic after I post it. My internal commentary is just like, "Why did I make that choice with the ____ and this choice with the ____?", you know? I'm pretty proud of having written The Road To, though, and that will be my answer for the time being.

25 - A fandom you’re in but have no ships from

Either Political Animals (I watched the show for the politics until I realised there weren't really any politics, and then continued because it was only six episodes) or Doctor Who (I ship things but not in that 100% invested OTP for life way).

2 - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind

I feel like all my favoured pairings have been the result of a long, slow inception by fandom? Speaking of Inception - I'm not in the fandom, but I did come away from the movie thinking everyone was going to write Saito/Cobb fic. Imagine my surprise when the most popular pairing, to the exclusion of all else, turned out to be Arthur/Eames.

18 - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships

Hahaha, that would have to be either Zayn Malik/Hana Tajima (they would have such pretty kids ok) or Birgitte Nyborg/me (they would have such pretty politics ok).

Rite??? (Not that I don't enjoy A/E fic, but I seriously thought we'd get more Cobb/Saito.)

Birgitte Nyborg/me (they would have such pretty politics ok)
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

8 - Do you prefer characters from real action series or anime series

I am WOEFULLY uneducated when it comes to anime series so I will have to say real action. I do enjoy the comic effects anime characters get that real action characters mightn't be able to pull off, though?

...um, LOL, I realise that is not at all the question I wanted to ask - I meant to ask 7, your first OTP. Now I feel foolish. /o\

Thanks for the answer though, and yeah sometimes there's things you just can't achieve in live action. :D

Ahaha, whoops!

Embarrassingly enough it would have to be Harry/Ginny before it became confirmed in canon. As a wee child I identified with Ginny so hard, um.

19 - Show us an example of your personal headcanon

I feel a little bad responding in this way because it's not a fandom you're familiar with, and isn't even really a fandom? It's my firm belief though that Birgitte Nyborg from Borgen left the Labour Party in her early thirties to join the Moderates because she felt its New Left ideas, as precipitated by Laugesen's predecessor, and accelerated by Laugesen, made it a debasement of everything it stood for. New Left being shorthand for and a rough parallel to Tony Blair's New Labour/Third Way ideas that returned the Labour Party to power in the 1990s - neoliberalism, a manic focus shoring up the middle-class voter base at the expense of its working class, superficial multiculturalism (by which I mean, paying lip service to 'diversity' without an attendant liberalisation of its immigration or asylum laws), a specious attention to 'focus groups', a drift away from its historical alliance on trade unions and unsettling love for sleazing around in elitist old-boy networks.
