So, wait, I live in a studying cave, what is Justified? Why should I be watching it to distract from my comp related insanity?

Oooh, fun, I love introducing people to new shows!

Justified is a new show on FX. It's based on a short story and a character created by Elmore Leonard. The basic plot outline is that this man from Kentucky, Raylan Givens, is a U.S. Marshal. He's posted in Miami, but he gets in trouble because of his brand of do-it-yourself justice, so he gets shipped back to Kentucky and has to join the Marshal service there. This sets up a whole lot of really interesting reunions and collisions with Raylan's past. It's both entertaining and gritty, very grounded in the reality of Kentucky but not extremely dark. The lead guy is played by Timothy Olyphant, who you might know from Deadwood, and is supremely adorable:
