The current soundtrack of my life: Morningwood's Morningwood, Cobra Starship's Hot Mess, The Used's Artwork, and My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers for Sweet RevengeOne of these things is not like the others! And not to bring you down, but I just remembered one thing you want to look into when you're considering your car choices. Don't forget to check to see what you insurance rates will be with the v6 vs the 48, and the mustang vs a more boring car. Sometimes they'll charge you out the wazoo when they see you buying a "performance" or "muscle" car out of expectation you'd be crazy driving it. Just one more thing to think about.

No no, don't worry about bringing me down - I need to be very practical about this! That's an excellent point, and one I hadn't considered. I had thought about insurance in a general way, but didn't consider it might be higher for the fun cars. How should I go about looking into that? I don't even know what insurance company I'm going to use. Any recommendations?

Your uncle will probably know some of the local agents based on his car insurance as well as that of friends etc.
Your rate will go down based on safety features (air bags, anti lock breaks, car alarms), but will go up based on performance things (4-wheel drive, which hit me in college when I took my parents jeep, engine size, etc).
You'll be lucky that you're still in the midwest, price wise, but probably get a college town/metro area hit on price still.

Hee, yay cars! :D I don't know about the Charger, it's kind of... stocky looking? Idk, it just isn't as sexy as the Camaro. Then again nothing is, so perhaps I should stop using that as a standard. :P
Isn't that trade in deal only for cars with bad mileage? My car actually has quite good mileage! But it's definitely worth less than that, probably more like $2000 with its 130k miles and dinged up exterior.
