As the fragments of my skull begin to fall, fall on your tongue like pixie dust

I have commenced my second week of lectures (I know, what the hell? You've all been in school for aaaaages) and I'm feeling a bit better about some of them, a bit wary of others. Even though I'm taking just about the same number of hours of courses as I did back home, it feels like a lot more because 8 subjects is so much more overwhelming than 4, ( Read more... )

Haha, well, it's possible I might yet die! Who knows! Thing is, this is what you sign up for, as a chem major. I should possibly have my head checked ;) Thanks hon!

(LOL. Kevin Smith actually cancelled and is rescheduled for February, but yeah. They had Helen Mirren a couple weeks ago!)

*squints* What is a computational physical chemistry lab?

Also I hope you feel better. *flicks health at*

It is a lab in which a computer program is used to calculate various quantities and answer some physical chem questions. Our first lab was spent using a program to calculate the energy levels of the highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital of various molecules, and the overall objective is to talk about pericyclic reactions from the point of view of how the MOs of the different molecules interact. Aka, IT SUCKS.

*catches health* thankie!
