We are also, technically monkeys. If you watch Youtube video, do a search for 'AaronRa monkeys'. He did an informative and entertaining video explaining how we define the clades and taxonomic identities of the primates.
Ida is an important fossil. She shows where the diversification of lemurs and primates occurred. The fossil is an important transitional form for all primates, not just the hairless semi-intelligent apes known as Homo Sapiens.
