Even more vivid, however, were the dreams of figure skating.
I *still* have fully-choreographed figure skating dreams, in which I do a variety of neat moves - all of which exist, as far as I can tell. I've never taken a single figure skating lesson in my life.
Sometimes, when I'm actually skating, I'll forget that I don't know how to do something, and I'll try to do it (this usually lands me on my ass, as I stumble as soon as I realize what I'm doing). Two winters ago,I actually landed (!) an axel (single rotation) before I remebered that I didn't *really* know how to do it. Freaked the hell out of me, AND my roommate at the time.

For me it wa always running. Sometimes I'd jump once and I'd be airborne, sort of active gliding, sometimes verically sometimes horizontally. Sometimes I'd be able to bound... really, really big jumps.
I have however never been able to do either in real life, so I envy you your figure skating moment.

I always thought if I could only jump from the proper height (ie. down the stairs at my old house) that it'd work.
It didn't :(
