Good things: I absolutely love having a big hard drive. I feel comfortable burning a lot of my music to my hardrive these days. I used to try to keep my music collection down around 2gb just to make sure I had enough space for a good size scratch file for photo-editing/music production. I now feel totatlly comfortable wih a 10gb music

Yes, but what`s to be done about it.

Best bet is a copy of XP, but I don`t have a copy to install from and don`t really feel like toasting this harddrive.

Wow... most of that site is dedicated to Adobe products. I find that funny to a certain respect.However, th rest (4 of the 9 pages may be somewhat useful, but cover things I`m already using and and fairly confidant with and leave out a great big portion of the web dev picture (MySQL).

Now, that being said... there are links on those pages that I wasn`t familiar with, and they could prove quite usefull.

All i nall, I`m going to add it ot my homepage tabs and check out the resources listed, so thank you sir. Very thoughtful, and possibly usefull.

this is why Apples are better...

nexst time you wish to get a new computer..that will do all what you would like it to do but not have vista and or any of the other crap that comes along with PCs...get a apple..I love ares and they are great for work type stuff

I didn`t `wish`to get this one. it was a result of system failure on my previous (XP) machine, and was covered by warranty. :(

So, while it was effectively a free machine it did mandate VISTA.

Vista is evil.

XP is better.

Mac OS is best. ;-)

Actually I`d go so far as to say that:
Vista is evil
XP is less evil
Mac OS is good
Linux is best.

However.... this is a machine that was in part mandated by the terms of my warranty on the old machine.
