Hey Sher, I'm still following your blog! :P Anyway I think it's less of a feminity stereotype, more like a stereotype for both genders :) If me a guy were to say I have updates, interesting things to come, very excited, pple would also say: getting married? changing job? (of course guys can't get pregnant)
It's just some thoughtless reply, the amount of thought they put into the reply (or lack thereof), is not worth the amount of time and thought you put in your response. Let it be, there are always morons around us, but there are better things to do than to rail against their stupidity.

You are probably right but in my experience, I have noticed that guys are less likely to be asked the 'Are you getting married?' question - it is assumed to be something career-related.
