Seeing the 'mysterious' booth out in the distance, Asuka decided to explore it. There was something about it that appeared to be calling out to her. Or something like that. Whichever the case may be, she went inside since she had nothing better or more fulfilling to do at the carnival.

"Ugh, this place looks tacky!" proclaimed the redhead as soon as she went in. "Was your interior decorator blind or just stupid? And...your nose. It's too big for your face!"

Slowly, he rose his head, allowing her to look into his eyes. "It appears that my first guest is...one of the most expressive I've ever encountered." Despite her rude treatment, he maintained a wide grin. "Yet, even from here, I can tell that you hide more secrets than you care to divulge." His statement could be construed as a challenge or a threat, even though he was merely speaking from his initial observation of her.

There was...something off about this creepy old man.

This did not phase Asuka, who pulled up the chair in front of him and plopped herself down on it. Glaring at him, she spat, "What the hell are you talking about?"

"I speak merely of what appears before me." He responded with a grin. "One with an untrained eye may easily look over such details, but I can see very clearly the elaborate mask you use to cover your inner self."

"Tell me, what do you desire to know that may help you break free from your personal...disguise?"

Kukaku wandered in out of bordom and lack of anything better to do. This should be moderately hilarious at the very least seeing as, in many ways, Kukaku was the furthest thing from what she seemed to be. And she just loved to mess with people.

So she walked in like she owned the place, sat herself down and crossed one leg over the other with a grin. "All right then, let's see what ya've got."

"Ah, you are eager to learn what destiny has in store for you, it seems." He maintained a steady gaze at his next guest as he had the deck of tarot cards appear out of, what seemed to be, thin air. Chuckling, he continued, "An impatient soul that hungers for resolution."

"Not so much 'eager' as bored with everything else." Kukaku sat back in her chair. She raised an eyebrow at the cards but didn't seem fully impressed. Best friend that turns into a cat and all. She'd seen far more impressive things.

Though at the word 'resolution', or more at the way it was said, she sat up a little straighter. "And I assume you're gonna say you can give it to me?" She gave a very stern frown. There were a lot of things in her life Kukaku felt she needed resolved and she didn't like people messing with her about it.

"Nothing is entirely unobtainable, though I cannot reveal everything." He responded to her stern inquiry. "My services are more a way of clearing a path for you to follow, if you so choose to walk on it."

Grasping the deck with one hand and holding it down on the table, it seemed he was ready to begin. "And all it takes for an answer to appear...is a question."

Kanji had found himself entering the strange booth, and he was quite surprised by the interior. The fortune teller was also rather bizarre, with his long nose and eloquent matter of speaking.

"So, uh... hey, man. How's business?"

"This is quite refreshing. You have already undergone a great transformation in your life, having faced yourself literally." He spoke, his eyes narrowing as he brought his tarot cards out again. "Still, there is always room for change, as that is the one true constant in life."

"Wait, what? You knew that?" Kanji was astonished. "You're pretty good!" He took a seat on his side of the table, actually getting pretty pumped about this meeting.

"Alright, let's get this started."

His reaction amused the fortune teller as he allowed the cards to scatter all over the round table. "Yes, you are determined to have others adhere to your will, yet you allow room for flexibility. It is intriguing."

Ran entered the booth rather hesitantly, after watching some people go in and out. It seemed the place was becoming more popular, and she figured it was worth a shot.

"...Hey." She spoke coldly to the fortune teller as she walked in, not paying much mind to her surroundings. She was only there to get a quick reading and be done with it, after all.

"Ahh, I have been especially looking forward to meeting with you." Peering at her with one eye, he kept his elbows on the table, propping his chin against his hands. "I am delighted to finally make your acquaintance."

"Why is that?" She answered bluntly, not quite appreciating the comment. She looked around a bit afterward, if only to avoid making eye contact with this weirdo.

"Because I have a feeling that your reading is very important." He responded, staring right at her, and possibly adding to her discomfort. "Now then, shall I begin? Or is there anything you'd like to say?"

Botan quietly enters, her own fortuneteller outfit concealing her face and body.

"Greetings... the answers I seek are..."

Botan smiles beneath her hooded robe as she sits down, crossing her legs.

"The answers that you seek."

Hunching over, he looked at his rival fortune teller carefully. "The future is mysterious to both of us, is it not?"

"The future is mysterious to us, but not unknown. The difference between mystery and complete ignorance is the difference between high noon and midnight on a new moon. And that is the difference between us and those who do not know."

Botan smirks with a slight happy noise to accompany it. She pulls out a small crystal ball and gently plays with it between her fingers.

"So ... how much of the mystery can you see?"
