Since moving up here I've been pretty much dateless, mostly by my own doing. Yet today two girls flirted with me, once while I was at the grocery store getting swedish fish for breakfast and again while I was at the bookstore buying the Retelling of The Canterbury Tales by Peter Ackroyd. I hope so, but the problem is I hate clubs and bars and don't have time for lgbt activist groups, so I never actually end up meeting many single gay women. Mostly I end up dating my friends, which is a bad habit I'm trying to break because it never ends well and makes me wish I still had them as a friend.
Also the problem with me flirting is it normally doesn't lead anywhere anyways because I'm horribly awkward and end up saying something like "I just had shower." Girls then think I'm senile and politely leave.

I'm too dumb to ever notice when I'm getting hit on by anybody, because I never believe anyone would ever WANT to hit on me. But this post reminded me of the time years ago when I went to the laundromat on a Sunday, unshowered, stringy hair, no makeup, and a guy actually asked me out. Stupid me dolled myself up for our date and he never asked me out again. I should have realized he liked me the way I really looked.

I don't normally realize when people hit on me either, most of the time I think they are just being nice.
Also, you are a wonderful, caring, talented, and intelligent woman, so you better believe people want to hit on you.
