Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
165 cm tall, 52kg weight. B85/W56/H88. Her build is pretty average, if not well-rounded, though she would be more on the lean side because she moves around a lot. Inb4 curry/ass jokes, she still has the largest hip size in the entirety of Tsukihime heroine cast; THOSE ARE CHILD-BEARING HIPS...

2. How old is she?
Physically 17, real age is 25.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
She walks straight with dignified grace. As senpai, she walks like your ordinary somewhat airy schoolgirl, as church dog she walks like Death coming for you :v;

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
So good that you can't kill her! :Db Until Roa is finally gone for good. Then she's just ridiculously fit and can easily make 20 feet jumps and hop on poles like nobody's business. Also can swing around something heavier than her with ease.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Definitely on the graceful side, if her pole-hoppings at night weren't any indication.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
She has the image of a kind and knowledgeable intellectual. She dresses conservatively and properly, and while there are definitely heroines prettier than her, she'd fit your bill if you like the meganekko trope and dig older women/your teacher. Physically, Ciel's fine with herself until fat jokes are thrown in the mix, but that still doesn't stop her from eating curry. :V

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
She's still born in France with a French father and oriental mother, so it's on the lighter and more 'white' compared to someone completely Asian. She mostly goes out at night and with her line of work, she doesn't exactly have the chance to get tans either, so on the light/clear side.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Dark blue in color, she tries to keep it silky, but with how much she moves and how cramped her actual agenda is, it inevitably gets a bit greasy here and there.

9. What color are her eyes?
Blue - cyan to be precise.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Stripped and prepared when on a serious job, her entire upper torso is covered in symbolic tattoos. (See back, front)

11. What are her chief tension centers?
A lot around her finger joints and knuckles, with all that black key gripping. You'd expect her to have way more, but how flexible and quick she is with her entire body, it's like a well-oiled mechanism that runs very nicely on its own. You'd definitely be surprised if you try to pinch her muscles, though: they're bound to be very-well built and hard.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Casual and x infinite number priestess robes. :| She supposedly has a costume fetish, though she doesn't appear to have had that much time to devote into this field.

ALSO SHE HAS REALLY COOL BOOTS. :333

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Hell yes. Ciel can totally fight in her "battle dress" which is a simple one-piece and the hem of the skirt only covers half her thighs. ...That is to say she is capable of looking natural in anything she puts on.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
LOL NO day life = 180degree change from night life. By day she wears what everyone wears/necessary for the job/blends in with the crowd. At night it's the nun robes and demon hunting time.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Briefs - or well panties. She's still a chick, after all.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Entirely dependent of the situation. Mild and reassuring. Invites trust, motherly even in daylight. On the job? Cold and emotional and deadly as all hell. She's very flexible with her tone.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
Ciel's chatty. She might speak a bit fast sometimes, but it's mild and composed usually and her words seem to flow out easy. Even if you catch her off-guard, she'll admit it and smoothly recover quickly.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Light French accent and sometimes misuses Japanese terms, but she's fluent.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
French and English for starters, I'm willing to bet she knows Latin too. Japanese obviously, and there might be more European languages due to her affiliation with the Church.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Not unless the need arises. She will fall back on another language if she finds out that the person that she is speaking to shares it with her and prefers it.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
She's a good on-the-spot speaker, and tends to know what to say because she can read the mood very well.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Rather articulate unless you catch her off-guard, though even then there's a good chance that she's messing with you. Again only Shiki's like the only person that can get her to stumble on her words.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Both. She's the equivalent of Kotomine in Tsukihime except as a heroine good girl who will fill you up with expositions. Books-wise of course she would be to complement her intellectual image, though she can act pretty derpy from time to time (her reason for being out in the yard fixing splinters instead of being in class). Street-wise, she can read the atmosphere and blend in very well, so she aces that too.

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
Ciel doesn't hesitate. As someone trained to be a killer, whose slightest chance to a normal life has died the moment that Roa chose her as his next host, she can very well plan ahead and execute what she needs done, but also good at improvising and going with the flow when things don't go exactly as planned.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
This is a really convoluted question. It's the same as asking, if she really more "Ciel-senpai", or just "a dog of the Church"? She's trained to be logical and practical as a killing machine, and she has shown time and again to be perfectly capable of this, with how easy she can pull a 180 from reassuring to murderous. Nevertheless, she remains human, and it's the intuitive and idealistic that come with this that lets her show mercy and compassion to those that she should otherwise kill. So... it's entirely dependent. :|;

4. What kind of education has the character had?
Seeing that she was born in such a small town in France, she was most likely taught the basics like speaking, writing and reading, though because of her father's business, Elesia likey has been thoroughly educated on how to bake bread properly. After her existence as 'Elesia' ended, Ciel has been bought up as an assassin that works for the Church, which would mean a thorough immersion in Christianity, and strenuous physical/magical exercises to improve her abilities.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
She's ace at hunting and killing vampires.

...That said she's surprisingly maternal and good at comforting people. At this point trying things for giggles isn't exactly a luxury that she can allow herself, or has, but... whatever that comes her way, really.

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
Ciel gives off the air of an extrovert. She's nosy and chatty, but is introvert in the sense that she will speak very little about herself.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
She's generally very even-tempered, and even if she does get upset, she is good at being polite about it and keeping it bottled up. She would be remembered as a cheerful person if you ever had a casual chat with her, despite who she truly is.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
She is in fact very suspicious of all the new people she meets, but she keeps tabs only to herself. On the surface, she is relaxed and enthusiastic. Ciel is very two-faced.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
She acts. She definitely acts. /camps on your roof

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Fight, because this girl knows how to pick her fights. She is definitely smart enough to retreat if she sees things going bad, though.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
She teases people that she cares about. Otherwise, she can take jokes pretty well, being so easygoing herself, though she might appear to be a bit slow, and living up to her kind, knowledgeable, polite, sensible, and reasonable image, won't appreciate tasteless jokes/bad humor.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
None. She didn't go crazy from being killed over and over again, and if anything, these days she's being completely selfless to a masochistic level, to a certain glasses-wearing boy that she silently holds dear.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
Two major ones. First, becoming Roa and being picked up by the Church: it has killed "Elesia", her humanity that she possessed when she still had that name, and creating "Ciel", the killing machine whose only purpose is to hunt vampires under the Church's orders.

Second, meeting Shiki Tohno. She went from a death seeker who only wanted to die to appreciate the kindness and vigor that this young boy had facing life, despite the fact that he always hovered on the border of Death with each day that passes. Without Shiki, Ciel would have, most definitely, remained as an empty shell and a machine.

14. What does she fear?
Nothing, literally. Nothing for herself. She does fear a lot for Shiki's well-being - as well as others that she is close to, and can personally trust. P.S.: Her trust is actually not easy to get. She likes Shiki but she would be iffy on 'trusting' him - Merem has far better odds, even.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
She has none, only the wish that maybe in the end she could atone for what she has done as Roa 17th. That is why - Ciel will spend the rest of her life, as a dog of the Church.

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
EVERYTHING ABOUT HER PAST. She's good at keeping her skeletons too, so unless you're Merem, you won't know any of this. >:|

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
She got along with them very well. Only her father has been shown in the manga, but it's easy enough to speculate that Elesia was a little girl who worked hard around her house and did her best to help out the family bakery, despite not being very good at getting up in the morning.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
That is uncertain. The manga mentions brothers and sisters, but it may just be a figure of speech. What is certain is that she would have taken her family's business if she were allowed to grow up normally, so she's no doubt at least the eldest daughter of the family, if there are siblings involved.

She would have also killed them all, after Roa took over her body.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
None known, though since the village was so small, she likely saw them all as an extended family.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
See above for Elesia.
Ciel has no family. The Church and the Burial Agency cannot be called that.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
No such thing is known for Elesia. Ciel herself was a machine prior to meeting Shiki. He cannot be called a best friend because while she would be there for him, he cannot do the same for her. At most, Shiki is not unlike a younger sibling that she will do everything that she can, in order to support and protect.

6. Does she have other close friends?
Ciel is very friendly, but again, if she is to be someone's friend, that would simply mean that she will be there for them and may know a lot about them, while they cannot say the same about her. Ciel can orient her chattiness so that the person to whom she is talking to keeps revealing things about themselves, while she herself does not have to do the same.

Arihiko, Satsuki, Akiha, Merem, and maybe even Arcueid-

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
She's easy to get along with. She presents herself as the kind, thoughtful, and reliable type, and can maintain that image perfectly to inspire trust within people whom she honestly wants to know more about. The reason for that, however, may be more questionable.

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
It makes no difference to her, who has none. Her family is now just a past sin that she can only try atoning for, and as for friends... That's a murky term.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
Ciel is single. Now and forever. She can't deny to herself to still hold a hopeless crush for Shiki, but she knows that she has no chance. That, and a part of her firmly believes that she would not deserve any happiness that she may obtain, from being with him or any other partner. She has no right. She has killed and killed and killed - in her life and line of work, there is no room for something as silly and selfish as love. She has no need for it, so she of course would not do something as useless as search for it.

Ciel is still human, of course, so maybe in the end it's just her deceiving herself even more.

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No. See above.

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
Elesia might have crushed on a handsome French boy in her village but none of that is canonly known. Ciel is in love with Tohno Shiki and will likely hold onto that for a long time. Even once she grows old, she is likely to look back onto these feelings with a degree of fondness mixed with amusement and self-deprecation: it's highly likely that she will try to brush it off as a mere infatuation, once she leaves Japan to return to the Burial Agency the moment that everything is settled within Misaki City.

She'll still flush at first at his mention, proven by "Talk", though that only took place one year after Tsukihime/Melty Blood.

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
See 9.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
She would. All the little girl Elesia wanted was to grow up, take over her father's shop, marry a man she loves, have children, and raise them with all her heart. In other words, a normal life. A mask or not, how she acts towards Shiki does show her quite capable of being very nurturing and maternal. She would love to have children, but again, these are silly and useless things to dawdle on. The VIIth of the Burial Agency is a Vampire killer, nothing more. The very notion of having children and raising them is ridiculous, so there's no reason thinking about it.

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
hi arcueid

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?
After Elesia died and Ciel was created, that killing machine appeared to be asexual, but she would actually be pansexual. Granted, she is at least proven hetero but arguably she can swing either way. Love and sex were never really priorities in her life after the Church picked her up, and it’s only after she met Shiki that she started to show more of her human side. As a Tsukihime heroine, Shikisexual is inevitable, though it could also be said that Ciel and Arcueid have a very special brand of lesyay going on with how they would fight each other key and claw one time and actually get along so well to the point of scary in others. If one can actually get past Ciel’s very well-crafted façade and really get to her heart, gender won’t matter at all. The possible proof to that would come from her past history: after having been killed in practically every single way imaginable as an experiment, it has definitely shut off permanently a part of her emotions and human nature as well. She might have been shown to fluster easy, but that's because Shiki is the one exception that really got to her heart. After meeting him, she more fell in love with who he is, his ideologies towards his life, and his incredible kindness, than how he looks physically or anything of the sort. That's why she would score 3 on a scale and be pansexual.

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
Not important at all. Barring everything that Nasu scribbled from Ciel Route, it is an activity that people, often lovers, engage in, and may result in producing children. To a Burial Agent, that means absolutely nothing at all.

17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
...

Sigh, she has a thing for anal and has a very nice ass. /)_v She also looks good in a man's shirt and would wear those instead of pajamas. Moving on. Dammit Nasu!!-

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
She's a Taurus, and it fits her... Pretty well. Though there are some points that can definitely be debated. She's stubborn not because of pride, she doesn't fear change - more like she's just still lost and confused, perhaps never having truly recovered from Roa 8 years ago. She is without doubt patient, kind, down to earth, persevering, active, and easygoing when she can.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
For someone of the Church, Ciel's beliefs are still... Pretty convoluted. As a nun she is of course religious; the meaning and implications of "sin" and "atonement" mean a great deal to her. This is, however, also a girl whose only wish was to be able to die, prior to Tsukihime. And even after defeating Roa, she deludes herself into thinking that she is forever shackled in sins that she herself remains unaware, so she keeps repeating what she always does - searching for her sins, trying to atone, and wait for the end as she asks herself what is she really doing, and what she truly wants.

The latter is for rhetoric. She has no right to want anything, only do what she can and knows in order to make up for something, or at least, try to.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
All the codes she possesses are passed down to her from the Church. She is a machine that eliminates heretical existences.

She is willing to compromise that time and again while using the bigger picture as an excuse. Ciel is still human and has a kind heart, no matter how hard she tries to deny it.

4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Indifferent. A cold-blooded killer has no need to look at the belief of others. It cannot, however, be denied that Shiki's beliefs deeply touched and affected her.

5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
She doesn't like non-humans. Her job is to kill them, after all.

That's what she makes people think. She's perfectly alright with people having that image of her, though in reality, she doesn't mind. It may also be more accurate, to say that she doesn't care.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
She's comfortable in Misaki, having her own apartment. This isn't applicable once she returns to the Agency.

2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
Elesia was a mere baker's daughter - a commoner. Ciel is member of the prized elite association within the Catholic Church created with the sole purpose of eradicating vampires and other non-human creatures - an assassin and a soldier.

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
She has a small, neat and cozy apartment in Misaki City. Being an efficient person that only pretends to be somewhat of an airhead, her things are organized though she does allow her home to reflect comfort. I would imagine that at the Burial Agency, it's like how Church Militant quarters would be, and there, she would have absolutely no need of excess.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Curry ingredients and green tea.

And fabric. Lots of fabric. Her customized clergy robes get torn and shredded rather often.

5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
Ciel is a heretic killer. She has been one ever since she was brought back to life and after undergoing a month of pure hell.

She really deeply wishes that she could escape and do something else. Anything else.

She does not, however, have the luxury of that choice. Her sins that she cannot identify weight on her with every step that she takes, and that is why, up until the day that she will die, she shall always remain as the VIIth, and keep on doing the same thing over and over again.

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
She's interested in sewing. Not a hobby that she has much time investing in. She does still enjoying baking too, despite the actual implications that may be attached to that.

Also customizing the fuck out of the 7th Scripture. This is a woman who likes swinging around heavily artillery components and such, and knows how to kill you with them. :|; She's actually quite skilled with the gun, too.

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Curry for breakfast, lunch, and supper.

Associations
Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is her favorite:

1. Color? Blue
2. Smell? Curry Fresh snow on a cold and crisp winter morning.
3. Time of day? Midnight
4. Season? Winter
5. Book? The Bible. Because I have not immersed enough in literature to properly cite a fitting classic.
6. Music? Basillica
7. Place? Church, obviously, or any tall places.
8. Substance? Cerium. This is not because of that periodic table I swear.
9. Plant? Blue Iris
10. Animal? Hawk
