Getting makeup shipped to Japan

 I didn't think I'd run into so much trouble trying to get some makeup but after hours of searching I've decided to seek some help from those that are more experienced with this.

I'm looking to get the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion and the Manic Panic Vampire Red Eye Shadow but it seems I can't get them from North America over to Japan.  I

Ooh, thank you! I searched for Urban Decay in English on Amazon Japan since I wasn't sure what the katakana is and it came up empty. Thanks so much for the links!

that's odd, because I searched in English too...but "urban decay" only, not for the primer specifically.

anyway, if you copy/paste the katakana in google, you'll find there are other sites that sell UD stuff as well. i find there's a lot more makeup variety available on the internet in japan than there tends to be in stores.

If all else fails, do you have a friend or family member in your home country that you can ship your order to, then they can send it to you? Sometimes I send stuff to my Mom to send to me if I can't get it shipped internationally...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as a last resort too, or like, have my mom store it until I go back for a visit and then bring it back to Japan with me...

You can link a Japanese visa to paypal, but you need to make a paypal Japan account (I use it this way). http://www.paypal.jp

Have you tried searching Rakuten? Their site is in English and you can order things COD so no credit card necessary. They have a lot of makeup stuff and also MAC products (which usually are pretty colourful), I imagine they would have something similar to what you want.

For the Paypal Japan, I tried to sign up from the paypal.jp address but it gave me this message;
"According to our records, you already have a PayPal account with this email address. Enter your password to log in."

Do I have to use a new email for the paypal.jp account or is it possible to link a credit card to my paypal.com account?

I ran into the same problem. Yeah, you have to use a different email address or it'll keep trying to log you into the US site. And you can't link a Japanese credit card to an American paypal account.

When I lived in Japan I would look stuff up on amazon.com, then copy & paste into the amazon.jp site--if it's available in the US it should be available in Japan (they'll just ship from American warehouse to Japanese).

I was going to mention Rakuten as well, but someone already mentioned that.

There's a swap site on LJ--where you can buy something for someone from Japan and they'll pick up items for you in The States or Canada or wherever...don't remember the name of it, though.
