Shipping instruments and another question about cats

I posted last week about moving my cats home with me, but I also have two bass guitars that the post office won't ship because they're over a meter long. I don't have a high budget, but I don't want to just get rid of them. Does anyone know of a service that will ship instruments? I don't mind if they have to go by boat. I'd rather send them by

When I travelled with my guys, you had to provide water (in one of those things that looked like it belonged on a hamster cage). I *think* I taped a small baggie of food to the crate (but I'm a little hazy on that). As for toilet issues, they had a pillow and blanket in the crate with them, and I'm pretty sure they peed on them both several times (both from fear and from length of time in the crate). Other than that, I don't think there's really another option - you can't have anything in the crate that could fall out if the crate went over, so litter isn't an option.

That being said, my fussy, fuzzy guys survived 36 hours in the crate from start to finish, and they're still kicking ^_^

Good to know. Poor guys must have reaked. Well, I'm glad I kept my old blankets then. I was thinking maybe a pee pad, but they wouldn't be able to bury it then. Thank you!

Little Timmy just bought a 5-foot fishing rod. The store put it in a tubular package, slightly more than 5 feet long. He stepped on the bus to go home, but the driver said that you are not allowed to bring any package on the bus that measures more than 3 feet in any direction. Timmy went back in the store, and a few minutes later got on the bus and went home with his fishing rod. What did he do in the store?

He packed the fishing rod into a cubical box measuring 3 feet on a side. A 5-foot rod will fit into a 3-foot cube along the long diagonal.

Use pytagorouses theorm to see how long a box will fit your 1 meter plus guitar and there you go.
