I am feeling guilty because I'm settling in here in England and beginning to feel comfortable, more as if this apartment, this town, is home. Not my hometown, but a kind of home. A place I can feel at ease ( Read more... )

I feel the same way about Sweden. I've been here 4+ yrs and love it here and call it Home. BUT I do get homesick for (Buffalo, NY) my real Home. :) My parents would love it if we moved there but I honestly don't think I want to and would have trouble leaving everything I made and have here if that happened. I was also with hubby on holiday to Buffalo for Thanksgiving and it was nice. Yep my dad pressured us to move home, but I stood my ground.

It is strange how that contentment just kind of wiggles into your life. That feeling of home in a place that is far from home. I am glad you are starting to put down roots. *smile ( ... )

What in interesting device! I wish it were a bit cheaper, but it's a great idea. My grandmother would also be a good candidate for this thing.
