...and says it is a cooking oil/substance used to broil/brown; it can be used under very high temperatures, as it evaporates less quickly than margarine.

It's a cooking oil by the sounds of things:

http://www.germandeli.com/racu0.html

"New Import Direct from Germany! Another great cooking product from Rama! Here's a little tip that every good Chef knows. Butter adds more flavor to your recipe, but it burns faster than oil. Rama's Culinesse is a combination of the great flavor of Butter mixed with Oil which will allow you to cook at a higher temperature without burning your food. You'll also experience less splatter. Culinesse - for all your cooking and frying needs!
NET WT. 0.5 liter

Ingredients: vegetable oil, water, hydrogenated vegetable oil, salt, lecithine, flavoring, citric acid, color: carotin, nitrogen."

I'm just amazed to see a post about Switzerland that isn't complaining about bureaucracy and poor customer service ;)

I'm having a wonderful time so far. There was a bit of a scramble to get our visas properly set up, but it wasn't too big of a deal.

If you don't mind me asking, which company did you use for relocation?

BDP was what we used for shipping, but we didn't have a relocation company. We did all the other legwork ourselves.

nope - what's that?

We got a box of pasta, the Rama Culinesse, Ketchup, bread, a bottle of spagetti sauce, butter, eggs, strawberry preserves, a bottle of Coke-a-Cola, some cheese and cold sliced meat, instant coffee, sugar, dishwashing detergent, and toilet paper.
